About The Event
Archaeology is the study of humans and their activity. Their past presence is unquestionable when faced with a burial. How good are you at identifying human bones? Could you work out what is missing and what could have been the cause of death? What can bones tell us about the health, lifestyle and age of our ancestors? Is it possible to find out what they looked like?
How does facial reconstruction work? How accurate is it? What are the limitations? Can we really meet the faces of the past? Try your hand at building up fat and facial tissue (using modelling clay) on a human skull (replica) to bring it to life.
A joyously fun activity and experience to share with your family.
*Please note, the completed reconstruction will not be available to take home.
